AVODAH: The Jewish Service Corps
Engages young people in direct work on the causes and effects of poverty in the United States. Participants in our service Corps program live out and deepen their commitments to social change and Jewish life through a year of full-time work at anti-poverty organizations in Chicago, New Orleans, New York, and Washington, DC. This work brings important resources to low income communities and equips Corps members to emerge as lifelong agents for social change, whose work for justice is rooted in and nourished by Jewish values. After participants complete this intensive one-year program, AVODAH's partnership with American Jewish World Service provides a broad platform for long-term leadership in social change and Jewish life. www.avodah.net

Spend a Year Fighting Poverty
Work full-time on issues you care about-immigration, hunger, literacy, public health, domestic violence, and more. Learn from veteran organizers, activists, and educators about how to make change in the world and about the Jewish connection to social justice. Jewish Organizing Initiative (JOI)
The Jewish Organizing Initiative (JOI) builds a vibrant, pluralistic community of Jewish young adults who learn grassroots community organizing, explore their Jewish identity together, and become leaders in the pursuit of social justice. Face to Face/Faith to Faith (NYC)
Face to Face/Faith to Faith is an international multi-faith youth leadership program that brings together Jewish, Muslim and Christian teenagers from areas of conflict around the world.  It was founded in 2001 by Auburn Theological Seminary in partnership with Seeking Common Ground. Now in its seventh year, Face to Face educates a new generation of young peacemakers through programs of multi-faith education, communication, community action and leadership. Farm and Wilderness Camps (Vermont)
The Farm and Wilderness Foundation operates six summer camps for children ages 4-17, a family camp and a school-year Outdoor Education Program. Jewish Funds for Justice (NYC)
Jewish Funds for Justice (JFSJ) mobilizes the resources of American Jewry to combat the root causes of domestic economic and social injustice. JFSJ's diverse programs include leadership development, grantmaking to support community organizing, loans for community economic development, and synagogue-based organizing. Progressive Jewish Alliance (Los Angeles)
The Progressive Jewish Alliance (PJA), a dynamic and growing statewide organization dedicated to engaging Jews in major campaigns for social justice, seeks a Community Organizing and Campaign Coordinator for its Los Angeles office. The Community Organizing and Campaign Coordinator, supervised by the Regional Director, will work closely with PJA staff, membership and Southern California Regional Council members to further PJA's community organizing, education, and coalition work. The WUJS Institute in Arad is a 5-month program that immerses Jewish college graduates ages 21-35 in Israeli life and culture. Join a community of other Jews from around the world as you study Hebrew intensely in one of Israel's strongest ulpanim, take classes from experts in Judaism and Israeli politics, culture, and society, and travel around the country on fascinating weekly in-depth study seminars. At the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, men and women of diverse backgrounds and belief systems encounter the most compelling and challenging texts of Jewish tradition. AJLI offers scholarships to study in Israel The American Jewish League for Israel (AJLI) offers scholarships for a full year (no part-time or summer programs) of undergraduate or graduate study at one of nine universities in Israel; Bar Ilan, Ben Gurion, Haifa, Hebrew, Interdisciplinary Center-Recanati School, Pardes, Tel Aviv, Technion and Weizmann. For students who plan to attend Weizmann, the scholarship also covers academic materials and some living expenses. Acceptance at one of the universities is a prerequisite and one must be a U.S. citizen.

Israel Government Fellows Program
The Israel Government Fellows Program of the Menachem Begin Heritage Center is in the middle of its inaugural session and is enjoying great success.  A MASA initiative endorsed by Israel's Prime Minister, the Israel Government Fellows Program is currently the only gateway for non-Israelis to work within the Israeli government apparatus.  The program consists of a three-week orientation seminar, followed by a five-month fellowship experience.  Each Fellow works closely with a government official in a Ministry or other government branch, depending upon the Fellow's particular interests. Shorashim: Roots
Shorashim: Roots is a 5 month residential apprenticeship program in farm-based sustainable living & learning, specifically designed to the Israeli landscape and international Jewish community, open to young adults ages 20-30. The apprenticeship is offered twice a year, fall/winter (Sept-Jan) and spring/summer (Feb-June), with 12 spaces open to each season. PLP Academic Fellowship
The PLP Academic Fellowship is a highly selective program offering full tuition plus additional benefits to graduate students pursuing an executive career in the American Jewish non-profit community.  Applicants must possess demonstrated leadership skills, creativity in developing and implementing solutions, strong character and a deep passion for building Jewish community, and they must aim to set new standards of excellence for Jewish non-profits – individually and as part of an organization or team. Beyond full tuition and a professional growth stipend, all fellows receive integrative professional learning, coaching, mentoring and proactive job placement.  Fellows are required to serve in highly substantial leadership roles in U.S.-based Jewish non-profit organizations for a minimum of 3 years following completion of their degrees.

INSIGHT: The Schusterman Fellowship for Jewish Community
INSIGHT was developed to encourage recent college graduates to explore the world of Jewish non-profit work in the hopes that we will identify and retain talented, young leaders who will help the Jewish non-profit sector grow and thrive. We are now seeking applications from college seniors and recent graduates who are motivated, curious and inspired to explore the Jewish communal world through working at some of the most exciting organizations in the community.  During the two-year program, fellows will be placed in three consecutive six-month placements at Jewish organizations based in New York City and Washington, DC.  Additionally, there will be several professional development retreats, an INSIGHT Israel trip, a week-long service project, and a national gathering with fellows and host organizations at the conclusion of the two years.  Throughout the fellowship, monthly seminars will take place to discuss the themes and challenges that arise on the job, enhance skills training, and develop networking plans. The ideal candidate is ambitious, self-aware, bright, and curious to explore the Jewish non-profit world and learn from the sector's leaders and experts.

Institute of Southern Jewish Life (ISJL) Education Fellows work with Jewish communities across the South that have limited access to professional Jewish resources. Education Fellows work to create a Common Body of Jewish Knowledge by• Assisting teachers in implementing a comprehensive religious school curriculum • Conducting teacher training sessions • Leading Shabbat and holiday services • Creating religious school programming for all age groups • Organizing and directing an annual education conference • Assisting with community and cultural programming • Recruiting new communities. The Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest, based in downtown Chicago, has an immediate opening for the position of Press Officer . This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits.
